so yeah...its nice to be away for a while and doing something that is more in my field and what i want to do. i have to say, i am having some regrets about not coming back to sundance in november. in hindsight, i think it would have been the best thing to do...just in regards to my job in kentucky. another honest statement: i am excited to move (if thats what is going to happen). i was a bit stressed about it, but now i am looking forward to it. change is needed again. as sick of moving as i am, the changes is always worthwhile.
anyway, so i ran into lori (the woman who set up me meeting dave and going to the movie with him last year), and she is in the same boat as i am this year. just kinda here helping out...wondering what the hell is going on! anyway...she said that after the festival last year, that dave, himself, sent her a thank you package. he signed it himself and was very sweet with the note. that rocks! so nice to hear! a very cool thing to do on his part. :) good to know that the dude (band) i have been "stalking" for the last 6-7 years is actually of quality. :) anyway...she said that she has heard rumors that ATO Productions is in town shopping for films. i highly doubt dave will come again...thats why he has people.
how cool would that be? working for ATO Productions!!! they are even based out of NYC...dream job. doing what i do here (or what RJ does with IDP), but for ATO Productions in NYC! DAYUUUUM! good lord i would be a happy girl! (note to self: finagle some sort of contact with them...research!).
Also, on the complete opposite side of the spectrum, we got word yesterday (a "warning" rather) that britney spears is coming to town for a couple of days and a couple of screenings. NIIIICE! CHAOS! they have to let us know, so that we can get people together (securtiy) to escort her through the backdoor (*giggle* bwahahah...back door....britney spears...bwahahaha!), to avoid the chaos. of course once she takes a seat, the press and the idiot little girl volunteers are going to go nuts! should be a good time.
okay....i gotta do some work.
note to ICE (if he is reading): what does it say when patrick asks me to check his email? yeah....YEAH! you know what i am saying ;)
