So on Monday this guy called, saying that he was our copier rep, and that he needed to know what kind of copier we had (the number on it), because toner had gone up. Well, since I always seem to be hired to be the front desk person…I know that this dude was not legitimate and only running a scam. So I didn’t tell him the information. And then he said “oh I hear you have cheap trick coming to town on Thursday”. And I said yes…and he proceeded to ask all kinds of questions about whether or not *I* was going to the concert, and if I like cheap trick. He kept telling me that I should for sure go see them, that I would have a great time…just prodding me. Then he said “well I am going to call you tomorrow to check up and see if you are going to go…”
I didn’t think anything of it, said “fine”, and went about my day…well, he may or may not have called Tuesday and Wednesday…I was away from my desk a lot of the day, and they wont give me voice mail (because I am the peon that friggin keeps this place running), ANYWAY….
SO, he just called today, he said “hiiii, Rachael…this is the cheap trick guy.” And then he proceeded to ask me if I was going to the show (I told him I wasn’t sure if I was going), and that I SHOULD go…it will be a great time. Then he was asking if the stage was set up and if they had the cheap trick banner up…and I should go and watch the set up. Just went on and on. I never say much, just yes, no, not sure…because he is CREEPY! Anyway, he said that he was going to call me tomorrow to find out “all about the show”.
Okay. So yeah…he is just creepy. I just told Ann about it because well…I don’t really want to talk to him, he kind of freaks me out, and there isn’t a way to filter the calls that come to me, because the stupid control center sends all calls my way anyway. She said she was going to talk to security.
And I am not saying that he is after me per se…or is after anyone. Its just I think he enjoys the voice on the other side of the phone a little too much…could be anyone (any female), I just happen to be the one answering the phone.
So yeah, good times.
